Is BeePool a taxi service?
No. BeePool is cost sharing: it connects people who are already making a trip with people going the same way. Drivers may only ask for a fair share of the petrol, which the app works out, and running a paid transport business on BeePool isn't allowed.
How is the price worked out?
Distance × petrol price ÷ the car's km per litre, split between everyone in the car and rounded to Rs 10. Drivers can ask at most 1.5 times this, which leaves a little room for tolls and traffic. Pay the driver in person after the ride; never pay in advance.
Does BeePool cost anything?
No. BeePool is free, has no ads and takes no commission. It doesn't handle payments: riders pay their petrol share to the driver in person.
Who can see my rides?
You choose. Post a ride to your university or office Hive and only its members see it, or share it with everyone on BeePool. Women-only rides can be booked only by women.
How do I join my university or office Hive?
Join with your email at that university or office, and BeePool emails you a sign-in link to prove it. City Hives for Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi are open to everyone.
How does BeePool keep rides safe?
