and terms.

BeePool ("the app") is a free carpooling app made by Bee The One Labs. It helps people from the same university, office or city share car rides and split the cost of petrol. It has no ads and no commission, and it does not sell or share your data with advertisers. This page explains what the app stores and why, and the rules for using it.

What we store

Account. Your Google account's name and email address, used only to sign you in.

Profile. Your name, gender (used for women-only rides), a short bio, a profile selfie taken in the app, social links you choose to add, your car's make, model, colour and number plate if you drive, the Hives you belong to, your ride counts and the reviews other members leave about you.

Private details. Your phone number and your emergency contact's name and phone number.

Hive email. If you join a university or office Hive, the email address you verified at that domain.

Rides and ride requests. The pickup and drop-off points you choose, times, repeat days, seats, the suggested petrol share, rules and notes.

Chats. Messages you send to other members, including a location if you choose to share one.

Reports and blocks. If you report or block someone, the reason and details you give.

Crash reports. When the app crashes, Google Firebase Crashlytics sends technical details such as the phone model, Android version and app version so we can fix the bug. Crash reports do not include your chats or rides.

Who sees what

Your profile, rides and ride requests are visible to signed-in BeePool members. Rides and requests posted to a university or office Hive are visible only to members who verified an email at that Hive's domain. Your phone number and emergency contact are visible only to you; your number is shared with another member only if you choose to send it in a chat. Chats are visible only to the two people in them.

Location

BeePool reads your location only when you tap "Use my location", share your location in a chat, or use the Safety screen to alert your emergency contact. It does not track you in the background.

What we never do

We never ask for or store photos of your CNIC or any other ID card. We do not process payments: petrol shares are settled directly between members. We do not show ads or use your device's advertising ID.

Where your data is kept

Data is stored with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication) in Google's Mumbai region and is encrypted in transit. Google processes it for us under the Firebase privacy and security terms.

Your choices and deleting your account

You can edit your profile and private details at any time, leave a Hive, and block or report anyone. To delete your account, open Settings and tap Delete account. This removes your profile, private details, selfie and Hive memberships, and closes your rides and ride requests. Messages you already sent stay visible to the person you sent them to. You can also ask us to delete your account by email.

Age

BeePool is for adults aged 18 and over.

Terms of use

Cost sharing, not a taxi. BeePool connects people who are already making a trip with people going the same way. Drivers may only ask for a fair share of the petrol cost, which the app suggests. Using BeePool to run a paid transport business is not allowed.

We are not a transport provider. Bee The One Labs does not drive, own or inspect any vehicle and is not a party to any ride. Drivers are responsible for holding a valid licence, a roadworthy registered car and any insurance the law requires.

Be who you say you are. Use your real name and photo. At pickup, check the car and number plate, the person's face and the pickup code. Never pay in advance.

Respect. No harassment, discrimination, unsafe driving or misuse of other members' details. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or are reported for unsafe behaviour.

Safety. In an emergency call 15 (police), 1122 (rescue) or 130 (motorway police). The Safety screen in the app helps you share your trip with family.

No warranty. BeePool is provided free and "as is". To the extent the law allows, Bee The One Labs is not liable for anything that happens during or because of a ride arranged through the app.

Changes

If this policy or these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
