Bee Steady ("the app") is made by Bee The One Labs and is built to keep your data private. This policy explains what the app collects and why.

Your habit data stays on your phone

Your habits, check-ins, notes and settings are stored only on your device. The app has no account system and does not send your habit data to us or to any server we operate. The only data that leaves your phone is described in the crash report, statistics and advertising sections below.

If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include the app's data in your personal Google backup so it can be restored on a new phone. That backup is controlled by Google and your Google account, not by us. You can also export your data to a file yourself from Settings.

Crash reports and usage statistics

To find and fix bugs, the app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase. When the app crashes, a crash report is sent with technical details such as the phone model, Android version, app version and the state of the app at the time of the crash. Analytics records general app events, such as which screens are opened, together with a random app instance ID. These reports never include the names of your habits, your notes or your check-in history. Google processes this data for us under the Firebase privacy and security terms. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Advertising

The free version shows a small number of ads using Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about how you interact with ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice anytime under Settings, Privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Buying Pro or Remove Ads turns off all ads.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details. Google Play tells the app which products you own so it can unlock them.

Notifications and alarms

Reminders are scheduled on your device. Notification and alarm permissions are used only to deliver the reminders you set.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

Delete individual habits in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all of its data from your device. Because we do not hold your habit data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
